How do orchestrations differ from rooms?
Microsoft Agent Framework ships Sequential, Concurrent, Handoff, Group Chat and Magentic orchestrations, all with human-in-the-loop, plus graph workflows. They are well-built patterns for agents inside one application. BAND's rooms serve the same need for agents that do not share an application, or a vendor.
Where is the biggest gap?
We could confirm MCP support and A2A in hosting samples, but not how deep A2A goes in Agent Framework itself. Microsoft's cross-vendor story lives mostly in Foundry Agent Service (A2A v1.0 GA) and Copilot Studio (external agents over A2A).
